As a non-profit 501-c3 organization Builders Care accepts monetary donations, volunteer labor and donated building materials, weaving them together to provide low cost to no cost construction for the most fragile compelling cases in our community.

For our clients who can afford to purchase services or for state and city funded projects, Builders Care is a professional construction contractor offering high quality construction services at a fair price. Proceeds from these projects are used to pay operating expenses and fund projects for the less fortunate. In addition Builders Care is the charitable arm of the North East Florida Builders Association. With NEFBA funding and their volunteer support, Builders Care is able to multiply each dollar of contribution into a dollar and a half to benefit the community.
NEFBA The Northeast Florida Builders Association provides industry wide representation designed to strengthen and foster the continued growth of home and commercial builders, and the construction industry in Northeast Florida. In 2001, NEFBA launched the Builders Care program, to offer up their talent and strength to the community, repairing severely damaged houses belonging to our area's elderly and disadvantaged – With their kindness we are Rebuilding the American Dream.

Builders Care is the charitable arm of the Northeast Florida Builders Association and represents many of the great builders and trades partners in our area. Our Mission is to provide much needed construction services for senior, disabled, and low income individuals in our area. For many, Builders Care is their last hope to maintain quality of life at home. Builders Care specializes in making homes handicapped-accessible, repairing roofs, siding, plumbing, leaks, painting, making general repairs, and installing heating and air conditioning. Since beginning operations in 2001 Builders Care has helped over 1000 people living in some of the most unimaginable and deplorable conditions. The ultimate goal of Builders Care is to heal substandard housing belonging to those who have no other way of repairing their homes and provide them with independent living again. For many, their dream of homeownership has become a nightmare from which there is no awakening. We have repaired more than 1000 houses since 2001 but the work of Builders Care has just begun for our aging and vulnerable population. There are an estimated 45,000 substandard houses in Northeast Florida in desperate need of repair and home modification. These suffering people deserve to live better and you can get personally involved by volunteering as an individual or with your company, civic group or church. Volunteers meet in the parking lot at Alltel Stadium at 7:30 am on the third Saturday of every month. Of course you can also donate money to this very worthwhile cause.

Builders Care Goals

* To be a safety net for the most indigent elderly and disabled people by correcting their emergency repairs in minimal time.

* To increase public awareness and support nationally for those living in substandard conditions.
