Pulte Homes Vendor Appreciation Day
Brian Paul used the occasion of their Annual Vendor Appreciation Day to introduce his subcontractors and vendors to the new Builders Care/Pulte Homes project, an after-school learning center at the Normandy Community Center to be operated by Community Connection (formerly YWCA).
Celebrating Uncle Dave's Mom's Birthday!
We were pleased to help our own Uncle Dave celebrate his Mom's Eighty-Fifth Birthday. It was a great party for a beautiful woman.

July 23, 2008 - An industrious and caring youth group from Lexington, NC met and blessed Mr. Walter Collins, working to improve his home and life during a week of their summer vacation!

Over 160 volunteers, including a large contingent from the "River of Life" youth group, crowded the parking lot, eager to make a difference and participate in the Builders Care ministry.
Pulte Homes Workday
July 14, 2008 - The entire staff of Pulte Homes labored on three Builders Care projects and worked as a team on painting, move-in, and lawn care tasks for our clients.
Mayor Peyton and Staff Workday
July 7, 2008 - Mayor Peyton and his staff put on their work clothes and worked tirelessly on Kitty Pruitt's home to help provide a proper setting to raise her family since the recent passing of her husband.
Celebration Church Volunteer Workday
June 28, 2008 - Volunteer workers from Celebration Chruch swarmed Kitty's home to help provide a proper home for the recent widow to raise her family. They made a HUGE impact in just the one day.

SMC Comes Through for ARC!
The Sales & Marketing Council of the Northeast Florida Builders Association came through in a BIG WAY for the ARC in their annual Builders Care Workday by flooding their new home with workers. Among the tasks were interior painting, yard work and site preparation. Thanks, SMC!

It was a chilly morning and Pastor Chris treated our volunteers to fresh grilled pancakes and sausage to get them started on a productive day that saw work on four projects! Thank you, volunteers, for your great enthusiasm and hard work!

It's always a great feeling to finish a project and the USO Welcome Center at JIA was opened on "Pearl Harbor Day" (Dec. 7) to show our service men and women that we appreciate their service and protection. Thanks to all who made it happen!

Show Jumping and Professional Bull Riding
Builders Care was named the Title Charity of a terrific weekend at the Jacksonville Equestrian Center. The excitement and pagentry was palpable and benefited the mission of Builders Care.
Volunteer Workday - November 17, 2007
We were blessed with a beautiful Northeast Florida fall day as we gathered at Jacksonville Municipal Stadium to travel across town to another project for Angelwood, a group home for disadvantaged adults. The task of the day was a challenging landscaping project.
USO Welcome Center at JIA
Interior finish was the focus of the day as the talented professionals with Sisler Johnston Interior Design worked to get every detail "just right" for our service men and women.
USO Welcome Center at JIA - November 23, 2007
The project reached an important benchmark today as workers from Woodsman Kitchens and Floors worked on the extensive installation of cabinetry. Our Armed Forces personnel will have a top-notch Welcome Center soon!

Sept. 28, 2007 - As we discussed the Payroll Deduction Plan with some of our most important Trade Partners, the management team at American Electrical Contractors was the first to invite us to serve breakfast and explain the plan to their employees!
Engle Homes 2007 Charity Golf Tournament
Engle Homes choose Builders Care as one of the charities that would benefit from their 3rd annual event. Thank you to all the Engle volunteers who made the tourney a smashing success in support of the Builders Care mission.

September 8, 2007 - Builders Care was the big winner at the 6th Annual TECO/Peoples Gas Bass Tournament! $25,000 was raised for the Builders Care mission!... That's a LOT of home repairs for the area's most in need. THANK YOU TECO/Peoples Gas!

NEFBA Workday - June 15, 2007
Members of the NEFBA staff enjoyed a workday helping to start a project for the Creech family. Youngest son, Connor, and his caring family, are dealing with heart issues and Scliosis and need our help to make their home a proper, healthy environment for Connor's recovery. The home will undergo major rehabilitation, including mold elimination and repairs.

The Owens Residence
WWII veteran Mr. Owens was watching TV when a driver lost control and demolished the whole front of his home! Builders Care is not only repairing the damage, but addressing other issues with the home. "After" photos added Feb. 16, 2007.
Blue Cross Blue Shield Workday - The Bailey Residence
The fine folks at Blue Cross Blue Shield used Mr. Bailey's home as a corporate morale-builder and swarmed his home in a labor of love on February 2, 2007, giving his home the full Builders Care treatment! Thank you!

USO-Jacksonville Welcome Center at J.I.A.
Builders Care is planning a build-out for the USO's new, large, front-row space fitting the dignity our military deserves. The USO asked Northeast Florida Builders Association and Builders Care to, at no charge, perform the required build out and furnish it with many of the touches of home. It is a large challenge and we need your help!

YWAM Workday

Rachel & Joy's New Home - Subdirectory
Cornerstone Homes is partnering with Builders Care in the remodel/rehabilitation of a new home for Rachel and her friend Joy. The challenge is to make the home properly serve these two special ladies and their unique needs.

Clay Builders Council Rehab
Walter's home rehabilitation was an initiative of the Clay Builders Council of NEFBA. The roof, exterior paint, kitchen and bath were among the items tackled by the energetic group.
Low Country Boil
NEFBA, Builders Care and Event Sponsor King Engineering put on the boil for the staff of COJ's Building Inspector office after a Continuing Education Class in appreciation of their help with some of our "emergency" clients. Thank you!

Boys Home Re-Roof - November 4, 2006
Builders Care partnered with the UNF Construction program students for a massive re-roof project at the Boys Home Association on University Blvd., near JU. The students attacked the project with the energy and drive of young folks eager to learn from on-the-job real world experience. What a flurry of activity there was!

JFK Sailors Build a Wheelchair Ramp
Amidst the hullabaloo of the Page-Bailie residence, the grunt-work goes on. The JFK sailors made quick work of a wheelchair ramp for the wife of a former JFK sailor, who is under Hospice care.

Volunteer Workday - June 17, 2006
Perpetual volunteer Vern Duncan of Blue Cross Blue Shield was honored at the pep rally at 7:30 am at Alltel Stadium. Vern was presented with an aid to his careful care of equipment!
Bobby Peet Residence - May 31, 2006
Due for a bone marrow transplant, Bobby Peet needed a medically clean environment for his recovery. Our volunteers included his nurses and Bobby can now recover in a proper residence!

We all looked forward to "revealing" their new home to the family. Hardly anyone knew, however, that John Bell was coming too! His doctors thought it would be great for his rehab efforts.
