Meet
the Page-Bailie Family
Can't get the names right? This will
help! |
 |
Day
14 - The Family Comes Home
Emotions ran deep all around as ICI
Homes, Builders Care, Subcontractors, Volunteers, Sponsors
and Members welcomed the Page-Bailie family to their
NEW home! |
 |
Day
13 - Finishing Touches
The last full day of the project and
the last day to do the final work to prepare for the
big day when the family returns home to their NEW home! |
 |
Day
12 - Interior Finish
This was a real "crunch" day!
The flooring and landscaping were just two of the trades
that HAD to be completed today! These photos were provided
by Bill, volunteering with the Page-Bailie church, St.
Johns Presbyterian. Thanks, Bill! |
 |
Day
11- The Details Begin to Emerge
Just days (Saturday) until the family
returns home, and the fine details of the project are
beginning to show. These photos show some of them.
|
 |
Day
9 - "Lunch is Served"
"We ought to do one of these jobs
EVERY week!" said one of the trim carpenters. "When
you're working this hard, you've got to have fuel!"
agreed Don Wilford, ICI Homes president and the project
manager of the Page-Bailie Remodel/Rebuild. |
 |
Day
7 - A Day of Rest
Bill, Don and Chris got to spend the
day with the Page-Bailie family at the lake house on
Sunday. The questions about their new home were hot
and heavy, but the details are SECRET! |
 |
Day
6 - Volunteer Workday
Our volunteers turned out in a big way!
The task for the day was to bring order to the project.
The jobsite is now ready for the next week. Thanks to
all our folks! |
 |
Day
5 - Attention to Details
A custom, concrete wheelchair ramp was
formed and poured, as well as an amazing amount of progress
on the interior drywall. The pace of the progress remains
amazing! |
 |
Day
4 - A Whole New Look
Siding and interior framing happened
today, along with some last-minute enhancements and
changes. The pace is still frantic as the job reaches
the half-way point. |
 |
Day
3 - Impressive Progress!
With a little imagination, you can start
to see the vision and scope of the project already!
Subcontractors are all working at the same time and
the sheer volume of tradesmen is overwhelming! |
 |
Day
2 - More Room To Live
The major focus of the day was the addition
of more than 1,500 sq. ft. of living space! Quick-curing
concrete allowed framing the same day! |
 |
Day
1 - Demolition!
Step one of this ambitious and extensive
remodel/rebuild began with volunteers from the USS John
Kennedy, St. Johns Presbyterian Church and others. The
whole jobsite soon became a 'cloud of dust' as walls
fell and concrete was shattered! Be sure to check back
to see the progress! |

Page-Bailie
Residence - Pre-Construction Inspection
ICI Homes President Don Wilford and
Builders Care plan the next project to be featured in
the Builders Care TV show. The home for special-needs
foster and adopted children will undergo extensive remodeling.
Demolition started on July 10. |
